Office by day, mic by night—don’t get me started, queen, we’re advocating it right!

Hi!!! Thank you for stopping by WESOBERNOW, my passion project and digital home. I got sober in 2019, and since then, I’ve been sharing my story and advocating for recovery across the valley. This journey has deepened my love for the digital space and connection, proving how powerful raising awareness about substance use can be in building stronger, more inclusive communities.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaming up with incredible organizations like Oxford House, Maricopa County, Braeburn, ADOC, and the City of Avondale to fight for marginalized communities, champion inclusivity, and foster healing.

By day, I slay at my 9-to-5, but you’ll also find me on the streets, working with the community, advocating for change, and raising awareness about the issues closest to my heart. My mission is to make recovery resources more inclusive, accessible, and adaptable—especially for those facing unique barriers like language, documentation, or reentry into society.

While I fully embrace my abstinence journey, I’ve also developed a deep appreciation for harm reduction. Recovery looks different for everyone, and for many, abstinence isn’t the ultimate goal—and that’s where the beauty lies. It took me over seven years to stop, so I understand that every step forward, no matter how it looks, is a step worth celebrating.

If you found me online or met me at an event, I’m sending you another hug! Thank you for being here—I appreciate you.
